Northern Kentucky Nitro is an indoor and outdoor men's soccer club founded in 2020 by Sean Eubanks. You may know Sean from his popular YouTube channel ELYYT and his involvement in Golden His Touch, where he supported Cincinnati Youth Soccer Talent Coaches for Charity alongside former and current FC Cincinnati players. There may be some people. Nitro plays in his OVPL for outdoor soccer and his PASL for indoor soccer. They play all home games in the Boone County Athletic Association. Nitro has finished runner-up in the OVPL conference twice in its short history and is aiming for a championship in 2024. In the PASL, they finished in first place in the Midwest Premier Division. Valhalla FC
Valhalla FC was founded with only one goal in mind, and we hope to maintain this goal until we achieve that goal. Their goal is to advance to the professional stage of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. This goal grows each year with each win until they become the top-level professional team they desire. Valhalla FC was officially founded in 2018 by his 2009 to his 2013 graduates of Milford HS. Anders Michelsson is one of the graduates who has contributed to their development both on and off the pitch. Valhalla primarily competes in his OVPL outdoor league. In 2023, they finished the season 10-0 and one game short of making their first U.S. Open Cup appearance. For indoors, Valhalla lasts all winter on his PASL.

atmosphere
The reason for the concentration of clubs in our area in soccer this time around is due to the PASL Championship. The tournament was held at the GameTime Training Center in Fairfield, Ohio. Three competitions were held over the three days: the U.S. Men's Open Cup, the Women's National Championship, and the Men's National Championship. GTTC is the home of the Cincinnati Sirens, and they opened the event as hosts. In Friday's session, he will preview all three below.
On Friday, the crowd packed in for the opening game at 6 p.m. The crowd consisted mostly of family members and members of the Cincinnati Sirens' academy. The event was a lively affair with full concessions, PASL merchandise, and music tracks playing during the action. As the night wore on, the center filled with players and fans. Many teams came from far away from the American West, eager to soak up the atmosphere. Several members of PASL and his OVPL were able to chat while watching the game. As the night ended, several players from the participating teams were present to watch the full set of matches, despite the early start of Saturday's session.

Match summary
If you've ever observed indoor soccer, you may understand how difficult it is to keep track of every goal scored. Goals can be hot and fast, and substitution patterns make the stat sheet difficult. We hope you understand that some of these summaries are generalizations of the match.

The Sirens began their PASL National Championship title defense against Wichita Aero. After 44 minutes of football, the Sirens won 15-1.
The game started in earnest when Macy Leap found the back of the net in the first minute. The Sirens were able to extend their lead to two points with a goal from Jackie Osterkamp in the third minute.
Wichita was able to keep things going and cut the lead with a surprise goal from defender Erika Boleski.
But the sirens were not deterred. After a flurry of saves from Aero keeper Jenna Miller, Cincinnati was able to add three more goals before the halftime whistle.

Casey Smekuld started the second half with a quick goal. At this point, the floodgates opened and Cincinnati's roster was able to fill the goal sheets.
A total of 10 goals were scored in the second half alone. According to the official stats sheet, Toria Abbott scored two goals while Ellie Mink, Emma Rhodes and Katie Byers were able to add one goal each. Again, given the number of goals scored by the Sirens, the statisticians could be forgiven for missing the mark.

NKY Nitro's first opponent in the PASL National Championship will be the Austin Emeralds, with kickoff originally scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Due to a hailstorm in the area, Austin's plane was diverted and ultimately arrived for the 11:58 p.m. kickoff.

Once the match started, we could see that the long delay in the match was affecting the players. However, in the 9th minute, Michael Owusu made a tenacious run towards the goal and took the lead. A few minutes later, Nitro's big, strong defender Nate Neal was able to double the advantage. Nitro entered halftime with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Shortly after the first half, Nitro's Brandon Miranda beat an opponent and crossed for an easy tap-in goal.
But Austin Emerald didn't come all the way to Fairfield looking for a quick tapout. With back-to-back goals in the 30th and 32nd minutes, Nitro's advantage was reduced to just one goal.
Nitro took the lead in the 36th minute when Michael Owusu showed great skill to evade the defense.
Austin's counterattack in the 38th minute was born from a defensive error. But as the game drew to a close, it all seemed to be in vain. However, in the final 44 minutes of indoor soccer, Austin's desperation paid off when he scored a huge goal that sent the game into overtime.
The rules for overtime in indoor soccer vary slightly depending on the location, but in this tournament, the first goal wins the game. That winner went to one of Nitro's newest members, Eviel Gamino.
NKY Nitro advanced to the semifinals of the PASL National Championship, but the weekend wasn't over for the Austin Emeralds as they were eliminated in the PASL US Open Cup.

Valhalla FC
Valhalla's first opponent in the PASL National Championship was the Houston Bolts. Houston qualified for this tournament despite the long distance travel. In the end, Valhalla lost 6-6 (1-2) after a hard-fought match that went into a penalty shootout.
The match started with a exchange between both teams. Valhalla's Cam Phillips scored with a rather cheeky tap-in goal 19 minutes into the game. Houston answered just before the first half, falling behind Valhalla 2-3.

Valhalla tied the score early in the second half, then took the lead with a goal from Phillips in the 30th minute. But almost instantly, Houston scored two consecutive goals to take back the lead at 4-5. Houston then added another point and seemed to have built an insurmountable advantage.
But true to their core beliefs, Valhalla was resilient in the face of adversity. In the 36th minute, Finn Salus' goal cut the lead in half. Anders Michelsson scored an all-world shot from outside the penalty area to level the game once again at 6-6.
The match will require penalties to determine who advances. Penalties in indoor soccer are similar to the old MLS rules, where the shooter runs up with the ball and beats the keeper. One missed touch by him could cause further drama as the penalty attempt could be missed. Valhalla got off to a good start with successful shots and saves in the penalty shootout. However, his next two frames saw a reversal of fortunes and Valhalla saw its national championship hopes dashed. Valhalla will be added to the PASL US Open Cup competition for the remainder of the weekend.

PASL Champion!
cincinnati sirens
The Sirens won their second group game against Kalamazoo 7-2, automatically advancing to the quarterfinals. There they defeated Louisville Triumph by a score of 8-1. The Siren's semifinal opponent was a familiar face in the Columbus Eagles. This is the most underrated rivalry in all of sports, Columbus vs. Cincinnati. This weekend, however, the Sirens got hot out of control, easily dispatching their rivals 8-0.
The PASL Women's National Championship was a rematch of last year's final between the Snohomish Sky and Sirens. After a nervous first half, the Sirens won 5-2. An impressive weekend performance ended with the Sirens winning her fifth national championship.
