In an important step towards the promotion of physical activity and all areas featured in the World Games sports programme, the International World Games Association (IWGA) and the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement between IWGA and CNOSF, established through a strategic partnership, is the first encouraging outcome of the first international conference. IWGA National Olympic Committee (NOC) and National Sports Organization (NSO) ConferenceIt was held in Madrid (ESP) in October 2023 with the aim of strengthening the relationship between the IWGA and national sports organizations.
This Memorandum of Understanding with the French National Olympic Committee outlines the key responsibilities of both signatory organizations. Leveraging bilateral cooperation, we focus on increasing the visibility of French national athletes through the TWG platform and promoting the event through reaching the same athletes.
This MoU reinforces the long-standing and strong relationship between IWGA and CNOSF, which has always proven to be a reliable partner of TWG. France, a team of 167 athletes, ranked fifth in terms of final medals at the 2022 TWG Birmingham (USA). French athletes collected a total of 42 medals (11 gold, 15 silver and 16 bronze).
Within this framework, CNOSF also agrees to promote the TWG broadly and recognizes the importance of athletes and officials participating together with multi-sport delegations. CNOSF works to support and support the participation of French delegations in events.
Additionally, both parties undertake to carry out mutual promotional activities in areas such as communication, marketing and broadcasting. IWGA will also facilitate the presence of his CNOSF leadership and staff during the TWG to allow for easy administration if necessary.
The memorandum of understanding was signed on February 20, 2024 by IWGA President Jose Perlena and CNOSF President David Lapartiento.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit international sports organization recognized and supported by the International Olympic Committee.
