Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry transcended the game of basketball not only with his 3-point shooting, but also with his excellence as a 6'3'' point guard. What Curry accomplished in his career at the peak of his career is unprecedented.
Curry has arguably passed Detroit Pistons legend Isiah Thomas on the NBA's all-time list and list of greatest undersized guards, but NBA legend Charles Barkley still can't match Thomas .
“I feel bad for Isaiah, because he's the best little guy of all time up until Stephen Curry,” Barkley said recently on The Dan Patrick Show. “He never got the credit or respect that he probably deserved, and I feel bad about that. I have nothing but respect for Isaiah, because like I said, he is the best child [player] Until Stephen Curry came along, to be honest, if I was in the game and I had to choose — and I love Stephen Curry and people go on the internet. I know, because they don't have a life – If I had to choose between Stephen Curry and Isaiah, I would probably choose Isaiah in that scenario. But I love Steph, I love Isaiah. But if I had a man to choose between the two of them, I would never choose anyone but Isaiah. ”
There's no question that Thomas is a legend in the game, but Curry has had a better career. That being said, Barkley still held this view of the two guards.
