As everyone already knows, things are going to look a lot different in Tuscaloosa this fall as the legendary Nick Saban will no longer be on the sideline. There are many changes to the 2024 football program, but one thing remains the same. It's about winning.
New University of Alabama head coach Karen DeBoer is already one of the best coaches in the sport, with a 25-3 record over the past two years, including a national championship, a Sugar Bowl championship, and a Pac-12 title. One of three or four people. Washington Huskies. It will be fun to see what he can do now that there are more resources available to him in the SEC.
With Saban's departure, there will naturally be roster changes and coaching changes. But things went as well as they possibly could, as DeBoer was able to assemble a talented staff. It certainly helps that QB Jalen Milroe stays in town and has a solid offensive line in front of him. The pieces of the puzzle are there.
In fact, the University of Alabama's offensive line may be one of the best units in all of college football, especially on the interior. Tyler Booker and Jaden Roberts were both mainstays for the Tide as guard in 2023, so getting them back is huge. The addition of C. Parker Brailsford from Washington is something Alabama fans are excited about after suffering a major injury before the season. A great offensive line and a Heisman-candidate quarterback alone mean they'll be in the playoff hunt in 2024.
