Ryan Garcia challenges Conor McGregor to a bare-knuckle fight after mixed martial arts star He told the boxer, “Get your head together or kill yourself.”
In a now-deleted social media post, McGregor sent a chilling threat to Garcia after he tested positive for a banned substance.
Garcia failed anti-doping tests the day before and the day of his upset win over Devin Haney last month. The 25-year-old, who was also 3 pounds overweight, tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug ostarine, but the results were not known until after the match.
Garcia has denied wrongdoing, but McGregor sent an adult message on social media warning him that if he were Haney's father, “you would be dead no matter what.”
The troubled boxer responded on social media on Friday afternoon: “If I ever meet Conor McGregor, I'll break your weak ankle.” He then challenged the Irishman to a bare-knuckle fight, adding: “The winner gets a rubbish whiskey brand (appropriate No. 12).”
Garcia also accused McGregor of evading anti-doping tests because he was taking steroids. The UFC star has never tested positive for a banned substance.
“He escaped the test because he was taking Lloyd's,” Garcia said.
McGregor, who is set to return to the UFC next month for the first time in three years, began the argument with a lengthy message to Garcia.
“Put your heads together or you'll kill yourself,” McGregor wrote before the post was deleted.
“I was forced to cheat on my weight, drink juice, and get banned for life. It's sad to see and sad to say. It's sad and kinda disgusting. Ryan Garcia, if you ever see me again, don't come near me.”
“I'm so disgusted…If I were Haney's father, you'd be dead no matter what I did. Crazy. What the hell happened to you, you idiot?”
“Keep your head up straight (because) or I'll hit you with my elbow.” Fair play Devin, well done. Your performance has become even more heroic. ”
McGregor also took aim at fellow UFC fighter Sean O'Malley, who tested positive for ostarine in 2019. The Irishman offered to fly both he and Garcia to Dublin for scraps in the car park.
“I'm going to crush you both, you want a spar? I'm going to set up a flight for you both right now and do a full-on spar each.” Hotel, Black Forge in the Lot,” he said. wrote.
“I'll ride you both like an ostrich. What do you mean? What do you think you're doing?”
After the results came in, Garcia insisted, “Everyone knows I didn't cheat…I've never taken steroids.”
