Former USC guard Bronny James was among 78 players invited to the 2024 NBA Draft Combine, to be held May 12-19 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
The promising players invited were decided by a vote of team executives this week. The player list typically identifies players who are most likely to be drafted or sign with a team as an undrafted free agent after the celebration ends on June 27th.
The event will feature 5-on-5 games, strength and agility tests, target practice, measurements and other related on-court exercises. Prospects are given the opportunity to improve their draft stock in a competitive environment with their peers.

The league also announced the consensus top 10 prospects as voted on by teams. According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, they were divided into tiers to determine who to share medical information, biomechanical testing and functional movement information with.

As outlined in the new collective bargaining agreement, this year's combine will be the first time prospects will be required to participate in drills and scrimmages. Skipping certain parts of the draft without a good reason can result in a prospect being deemed ineligible for the draft.
The number of prospects participating in the combine will be expanded to include a number of standout players selected from the G League Elite Camp, which will be held May 10th and 11th at Wintrust Arena.
