Coburn, 33, won bronze at the 2016 Rio Games, becoming the first American woman to win an Olympic steeplechase medal.
The following year, she led Courtney Frerichs in the U.S. One-Two, becoming the first American woman to win a world championship medal in this event.
Overall, Coburn won eight consecutive national titles at the Spire from 2014-2022.
In 2023, she injured her left hamstring at the U.S. Track and Field Championships in July (2nd place) and the World Championships in August (10th place in the first round), but was unable to compete.
The Olympic trials will be held in Eugene, Oregon from June 21 to 30, with the top three finishers in most events qualifying for the Paris Games.
Candidates for the women's steeple include Tokyo Olympic silver medalist Frerichs, 2023 U.S. champion Chrissy Geer and 2023 World Championships top 15 American finisher Courtney Wayment.
