san antonio – Visit San Antonio rallied its community to host InCyber Forum Americas, a two-day event that brought together cybersecurity professionals from around the world.
“This has been happening in Europe for years. About 20,000 people will attend Europe's largest cybersecurity conference, and this will be the first time it has been held in the United States.” said David Gonzalez, Vice President of Media Relations and Communications for Visit San Antonio.
Gonzalez said the event could draw 3,500 to 5,000 people to San Antonio next year.
He said the main conference will be held June 17-18, 2025, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Center, with other technology events scheduled around the city.
“The InCyber Forum will have a really great economic impact on San Antonio,” Gonzalez said. “Just having one meeting here in San Antonio is estimated to be between $1.2 million and $1.6 million.”
Gonzalez said San Antonio is expanding its international footprint and the newest flight from San Antonio to Frankfurt is critical for events like this.
“Having this new Condor flight in May to and from Frankfurt is going to be a really great thing for San Antonio from a leisure (and) tourism standpoint, as well as bringing in more people from Europe. , even for conferences like this, people will now be able to do things like this,' it's easier to come to San Antonio,' Gonzalez said.
InCyber Forum started in France in 2007 and has become a community of 65,000 cybersecurity professionals, business leaders, and policy makers.
“This is a great way for people across the IT and cybersecurity space to come together and learn about the biggest innovations happening right now,” Gonzalez said.
