The IOC and Laureus Sport for Good have entered into a ground-breaking collaboration in which both organizations will each invest $1 million in a two-year program to promote youth education and employability through sport in Africa. Announced. The IOC and Laureus are working with Africa's leading sport and social development institutions to address the fact that one in four young people in Africa are not in formal education, employment or training. This is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 8, which focus on inclusive growth, quality education, and full and productive employment for all, and Aspiration 1 of the African Union's Agenda 2063. International Canoe Federation (ICF)
ICF has emphasized the sustainability of Olympic venues during the qualifying process for canoe sprint and canoe slalom for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Sea Forest Aquatic Stadium hosted the Asian Canoe Sprint Qualifier in April, three years after the race was held during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Kasai Canoe Slalom Centre, Lee Valley Whitewater Center, Penrith Whitewater Stadium, Sydney International Regatta Course and Deodoro Olympic Whitewater Stadium have all hosted Paris 2024 qualifying events, before becoming the latest Olympic venue to be used on the road to Paris 2024 This is the venue. Following the conclusion of the last of the four events of the 2024 Apparatus World Cup Series, FIG has confirmed the list of men's and women's gymnastics individual spots for the 2024 Paris Olympics that were obtained by Apparatas athletes during the series.
