Indonesia The archipelago nation will now have to wait to qualify for the Olympic men's soccer tournament for the second time in its history after losing 2-0 to Uzbekistan in the semi-finals of the U-23 Asian Cup on Monday.
The Red and White will qualify for the Paris Games if they win the third-place match against either Japan or Iraq later this week.
If they lose and end up in fourth place, they will have to beat Guinea in the Asia-Africa playoff match.
The Central Asian rivals broke Indonesians' hearts in the Qatari capital Doha with Kusain Norchayev's cross between two defenders in the 68th minute and Pertama Arkhan's own goal in the 86th minute.

The second goal came after Rizky Lido was sent off for an act of violence, reducing Indonesia to 10 men.
Had Indonesia won, it would have been the first country to play soccer in the Olympics in nearly 70 years, since the Soviet Union eliminated Indonesia at the 1956 Melbourne Games.
The U-23 Asian Cup is the Asian Football Confederation's Olympic qualifying tournament, in which soccer is played by most U-23 teams, with three exceptions on each team.
Indonesia's hopes of qualifying for the tournament increased dramatically after defeating Asian powerhouse South Korea last week.
It was South Korean coach Shin Tae-yong who led Indonesia to victory and prevented his country from qualifying for the Olympics for the first time since the 1980s.
