LAWRENCE, Kan. (News Release) – Gavin Kash's RBI single and Damien Bravo's RBI double gave Texas Tech Baseball a 2-0 lead, but the Red Raiders ultimately lost their series against the University of Kansas on Sunday afternoon. They lost the final game 7-3. Hoglund Stadium.

With the bases loaded in a 3-2 game, Tech turned to reliever Jacob Rodgers, who allowed a bases-loaded double to Cody Shojinaga, giving the Jayhawks a 6-2 lead.
KU added another unearned run in the fifth inning, with reliever Parker Futila scoring the game-winning run in the fifth inning. Futila showed impressive resilience, pitching three innings and allowing just one hit. The freshman had four strikeouts.
The game remained 7-2 until the eighth inning, when the Red Raiders, with two outs, hit three consecutive singles from Landon Stripling, Drew Woodcox, and Cade McGee. McGee's single brought Tech within 7-3.
After a full-count walk to Davis Rivers, with the bases loaded, KU's Teagan Cain brought the tying run to the plate, hitting a liner to second base that ended the frame.
The eighth chance was the best scoring chance for the Red Raiders, who had lost four games in a row.
