The Maple Leafs are reportedly taking a big step toward a healthy roster ahead of a crucial Game 4 between the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs. Early morning today, TSN's Chris Johnston reports. What Toronto is preparing for William Nylander I will be participating in the 4th match.
Despite appearing in all 82 regular season games, the Maple Leafs are currently without their second-highest scorer in all playoff games, losing Games 1 and 3 to the Bruins. Nylander's presence, one of the big talking points on the ice this year's postseason, should give Toronto a chance to even the series tonight.
Through the first round series against the Bruins, five of the Maple Leafs' six total goals came from the team's top two forward units, with the bottom two unable to generate much offense outside of Game 1. There wasn't. In practice, Nylander has been skating.in the third row of the team Jarunklok street and Pontus HolmbergThis will allow Toronto to run a more complete offense in tonight's contest.

- Outside of the Maple Leafs' postseason development, the team received some positive news today on a promising forward. Nikita Grebyonkin Mutually agreed to terminate contract with Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the Kontinental Hockey League, paving the way for an NHL contract with Toronto (X-link). Grebyonkin, the 135th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, finished the 2023-24 KHL season on a high note, scoring 19 goals and 41 points in 67 games. Grebyonkin only scored 3 goals and 6 points in 26 playoff games, but he helped his team win the Gagarin Cup on April 24 with an overwhelming victory over Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the final.
