TEMPE — The Arizona Cardinals have selected Texas Tech safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson with the 104th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Taylor Demerson was the first pick of the third day out of the University of Arizona, making him the first safety the Cardinals took in the draft.
“Yesterday I thought I was going to get drafted (by the Cardinals),” the cornerback said on a conference call. “This is where I wanted to go. I'm just happy that I was chosen here.
“I loved it there when I visited. One of my best friends is staying there. I love Arizona State. I practiced for the combine there.”
Taylor Demerson, 5-foot-10 and 197 pounds, spent five years at Texas Tech University. His last three games as a Red Raider were his most impressive, as he recorded 207 tackles, two sacks, 10 interceptions, and 22 passes defensed.
At the NFL Draft Combine earlier this year, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds and shot a 38-inch vertical.
