PLYMOUTH, Minn. — Team North Dakota scored three scoreless goals to defeat the Wisconsin Seniors 3-1 in the CCM National Invitational Tournament at Plymouth Ice Center.
Trailing 1-0 in the first period, North Dakota State forward Mack Blue, a Grand Forks Central native, got assists from West Fargo native Alex Arneson and Grand Forks Central native Evan Panzer. He then scored with 12:29 left in the first period to tie the game. Forks Central.
Fargo North product Ray Warren gave the University of North Dakota a 2-1 lead with 5:14 left in the first inning. Grand Forks Red River's Grant Gardner and Fargo North's Owen Brunson assisted on Warren's goal.
Gardner scored with 3:07 left in the third period, with assists from Brunson and Wallen.
Wisconsin's Joseph Coughlin scored with 17:18 left in the first period, with assists from Caden Feinstein and Vincent Green. Wisconsin netminders Devin Lastley and Rowan White stopped 42 of 45 shots they faced.
Bismarck Legacy North Dakota State goaltender Tyler Miller made 29 saves.
North Dakota State will play Minnesota High Performance U18 at the Plymouth Ice Center on Saturday, April 27th at 4:45 p.m.
