Knicks vs. 76ers is already a thrilling NBA playoff series, and it continues to be a close one at MSG.
Now, the series heads to Philadelphia in desperation mode with the 76ers.
Game 2 was also close, with New York winning 104-101 on Donte DiVincenzo's winning 3-pointer and taking a 2-0 series lead.
Jalen Brunson missed a lot of shots in Game 2, but still ended up scoring 24 points.
But the 76ers are hanging around, with Joel Embiid (34 points) and Tyrese Maxey (35 points) looking like the best players on the court for Game 2.
Embiid doubled down on his performance and then boldly declared that the 76ers would win the series.

Why not add another game to our list of challenges and reviews?
It's the playoffs.
Tom Thibodeau challenged Bojan Bogdanovic's defensive goaltending demands on the play where he blocked Cameron Payne's layup.
The call was overturned, and when the Knicks had possession, OG Anunoby made a jumper.
With less than six minutes left in the second quarter, each team needs to step up as much as possible in a tense, physical game with 45 points each.
It's the playoffs.
Just three minutes into the second quarter, Isaiah Hartenstein committed his third foul of Game 3.
He was immediately sent off, replaced by Mitchell Robinson, who committed two fouls.
Not long after, Joel Embiid picked up his third foul, which, of course, didn't go without a challenge.
The decision came down to an offensive foul on former MVP Robinson, and the 76ers called a timeout. Embiid stayed in the game as the 76ers led 44-41 with six minutes left.
An unknown face of the series gave the 76ers an early lead to start the second quarter.
Cameron Payne came off the bench and made two 3-pointers to give the 76ers a 36-34 lead.
Payne played just over two minutes without scoring in Game 1, and did not come off the bench in Game 2.
The Knicks are already battered and bruised, and it's only been the first quarter.
The 76ers committed two significant fouls against the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, causing Mitchell Robinson, who is recovering from a left ankle injury, to immediately raise the alarm as he fell and landed on his feet.
However, the Knicks won, shooting 56 percent from the field and 5 of 8 from the 3-point line, taking a 29-27 lead into the first game.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with nine points.
Game 3 was already very heated between the Knicks and 76ers, with three drama-filled plays on the table.
In the latest incident, OG Anunoby retreated into the paint while knowing Joel Embiid, and Embiid grabbed Mitchell Robinson's ankle in a seemingly revenge move.
Embiid was fortunate to receive a Type 1 flagrant foul for what appeared to be a flagrant foul 2, and Robinson made 1 of 2 free throws at the line.
It was Kyle Lowry's second violation for the 76ers, coming against Donte DiVincenzo, who was on the bench after being hit in the face.
The Game 3 referee was bombarded with chants of “ref, you suck” from the Wells Fargo crowd over his deliberation over the collision between Joel Embiid and Isaiah Hartenstein.
Embiid ran into Hartenstein, who was trotting back to take up defense, and Maxey appeared to heave the ball up. He immediately slammed Hartenstein to the floor.
This was ruled an offensive foul, but 76ers fans vehemently disagreed.
Donte DiVincenzo got one point in the face for the Knicks.
As he drove into the paint in the first quarter of Game 3, he was punched in the face by fellow former Villanova player and 76ers star Kyle Lowry.
He lay on the court for several seconds holding pressure around his right eye before being examined by the team's athletic trainer.
After the call was reviewed, Lowry was ruled a Type 1 flagrant foul, and DiVincenzo, who was certainly flashing, made two foul shots from the charity stripe.
The Knicks are 13 wins and 11 losses.
Heading into Game 3, Jalen Brunson is still struggling to find the rim.
The Knicks star missed his first two jumpers, but then hit a corner 3-pointer to give the Knicks a 10-6 lead.
However, his next jumper and 3-point shot did not fall. With less than eight minutes left in the first quarter, he was 1-of-4.
The Knicks are trailing 13 wins and 10 losses against the 76ers, who are looking to get into the win column in the first round of this playoff series.
There doesn't appear to be any conflict between the 76ers and Villanova.
After the Knicks' exciting Game 2 win, Villanova, the alma mater of Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart, posted a post on X supporting their former players.
They especially paid tribute to Brunson and DiVincenzo. Both players made big 3-pointers in the final 27 seconds to secure the victory.
76ers fans didn't take the message from the Philadelphia school too well.
Ahead of Game 3, the Villanova banner still hangs at Wells Fargo, representing the school's NCAA Tournament record.
Brunson and DiVincenzo won two national championships with the Wildcats, and Hart won one national championship in 2016 during his junior season.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
The Knicks will keep the same starting lineup in Game 3 that helped them take a 2-0 series lead over the 76ers.
Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo, Josh Hart, OG Anunoby and Isaiah Hartenstein will start.
The series will be played in two games in Philadelphia, and if the Knicks win on Thursday night, they could clinch the series on the road on Sunday afternoon.
Joel Embiid is scheduled to play in Game 3 on Thursday night at Wells Fargo Center.
The former MVP was listed as questionable before the game, but was named to the team's starting lineup with less than 30 minutes until tipoff at 7:30 p.m.
He is playing while recovering from a left knee injury that he returned to just before the playoffs. Embiid missed 43 regular season games for the 76ers.
He will start alongside Kelly Oubre, Tobias Harris, Kyle Lowry and Tyrese Maxey.
TMZ has confirmed with the Philadelphia Police Department that Kelly Oubre Jr. was involved in a traffic accident after the 76ers' Game 2 loss to the Knicks on Monday night.
Police say Oubre's 2021 purple matte Lamborghini “ran a red light” and crashed into a 2023 Hyundai Elantra at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, and both vehicles were towed from the scene due to damage. did.
No injuries were reported, and the other driver was not identified in the TMZ report.
