Ben Tynan is moving forward for the heavyweight MMA belt and will face former title challenger Mauro Cerilli after competing at ONE 167.
Tynan (6-0) is already 2-2 in ONE Championship. He made his debut in November and defeated hard-hitting Korean Kang Ji-won in the third round.
The 30-year-old also competed earlier this month, finishing off Duke Didier inside in the opening round. Fans love him for his unblemished fighting record and for his penchant for wearing denim-style shorts in the ring.
While Tynan has never tasted defeat, Cerilli's ONE Championship career has been up and down, with wins and losses since signing with the promotion in 2018, and fighting for the title in his debut. But he was stopped by Brandon Berra.
The former Cage Warriors heavyweight champion has three wins in six starts, including a win over Paul Elliott last year.
And a Thai fighter is putting his title on the line in the co-main event. Tawanchai PKS Saenchai Gym will defend his featherweight Muay Thai belt against Joe Nattawut in a rematch.
Meanwhile, former bantamweight Muay Thai title challenger Liam Harrison has made his long-awaited return. He has been out of action for about two years after undergoing knee surgery, and it has been decided that he will face Katsuki Kitano in his return match.
