The four-time Olympic women's soccer champions will play Costa Rica on July 16 in Washington in their final send-off game before the Paris Olympics, US Soccer announced Tuesday.
The U.S. national team will play four games under incoming coach Emma Hayes before departing for France.
Hayes, 47, from England, is completing the English Women's Super League season as Chelsea coach before taking over the United States in June.
She has games against South Korea in suburban Denver on June 1st, St. Paul, Minn. on June 4th, and Mexico in Harrison, N.J. on July 13th before final training with Las Ticas. I have the opportunity to coach the U.S. women's team in the tournament. She was at Audi Field, home of MLS's DC United.
The U.S. women's team is 17-0 overall against Costa Rica.
