The Adel DeSoto Minburn boys soccer team has won seven of its first eight games, and head coach Tom Horton is optimistic the best is yet to come.
The Tigers are 7-1 overall (2-1 RRC) and in third place in the Raccoon River Conference, but have lost several key players to injury. Seniors Peyton Meyer and Carson Kaye have been sidelined for some time with injuries. Coach Horton emphasized to Raccoon Valley Radio that ADM is a possession-based team and likes to hold onto the ball longer than their opponents to control the game. He talks about the key areas that the team needs to execute to reach its full potential.
“Make the right choices when you have the ball, find the right path, be patient when you need to be and be aggressive when you need to be.”
Horton said he does his best to keep his players involved in every game and trusts each player to play. ADM is scheduled to play the Huskies this Thursday in the winter set.
