Following the successful first Asian Mixed Martial Arts Championships held in Thailand in August last year, Cambodia is scheduled to host the second Asian Mixed Martial Arts Championships in July.
Gordon Tan, vice president of the Olympic Council of Asia and president of the Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association (AMMA), confirmed the upcoming event during a meeting with Prime Minister Hun Manet in Phnom Penh on April 22.
According to AMMA, the association was established in Singapore to promote and develop mixed martial arts activities across Asia.
It added that it is the only pan-Asian mixed martial arts federation and is recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia.
