Day 2 of the Olympic Wrestling Trials held in State College

It's been an eventful few days for the athletes competing in the USA Wrestling Olympic Trials held at the Bryce Jordan Center. He had eight wrestlers from Pennsylvania competing to be a part of Team USA. The Olympic Regional Training Center competed in five of the six men's freestyle finals. Three of the matches were between teammates from the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club, including the No. 3 match between Nick Lee and Jean Retherford in the men's 65 kg freestyle division. In that matchup, Retherford won the first and second rounds to become the winner of the 65 kg Olympic trials. In another matchup between Penn State Olympic Training Center teammates, four-time U.S. champion Aaron Brooks defeated Olympic legend David Taylor in the first round. Men's Freestyle 86kg Best of 3. These two wrestlers had a match again on Saturday night. There was only one mat for these sessions, while other sessions in the three-day event only had four mats. In other words, athletes competing for the Olympics were in the spotlight.
