On Saturday, Ryan Garcia shocked the boxing world with a stunning majority decision victory over Devin Haney at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Garcia displayed erratic behavior during the promotion and was even seen drinking from what appeared to be a beer bottle during Friday's weigh-in.
The boxer from California missed out on weight and an exorbitant amount (3.2 pounds over the 140 pound limit), so he was unable to challenge for and win Haney's super lightweight championship belt.
As it turns out, some, if not all, of that may have been a deception, as Garcia boxed very well with pace and pinpoint power punches, dropping Haney three times en route to the victory. do not have.

The fighter added that the referee should have stopped the fight.
Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, which organized the event, said in a statement to GIVEMESPORT that night:

Meanwhile, Garcia said he thinks the referee should have intervened during the match and called off the whole thing, given the way Haney was ripped off.
“I shouldn't have put so much pressure on myself to stop him, because every time I hurt him I would go crazy and I couldn't stop him,” Garcia said.
He added: “I think the referee should have stopped the match. [Haney] It really hurt.I felt sick and even looked at Bill to stop the fight. [in the seventh round].
“That guy held me for dear life. I felt like it was my chance to keep swinging while my hands were free. I should have knocked him out in that seventh round. They stole that from me.
“I’m amazed he has so much heart and resilience.”
With the win, Garcia improved his professional boxing record to 25 wins (20 KOs) to 1 loss.
