MONTREAL (AP) — Ivan Angulo scored a goal two minutes into second-half stoppage time to lift Orlando City to a 2-2 draw with CF Montreal on Saturday night.
Angulo's first goal of the season came after Ariel Lassiter scored in the 88th minute to give Montreal a 2-1 lead.
Montreal (3-3-2) took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute when Mason Toy, making his first start and third appearance, scored his first goal of the season on an assist from Samuel Piette.
Facundo Torres pulled away for Orlando City (2-3-3) with another penalty kick in the 22nd minute. Torres scored his first goal of the season with his left-footed shot into the top left corner of the goal. The penalty came after Montreal goaltender Jonathan Sirois received a yellow card. It was Torres' 31st career goal for Orlando City, tying him with Nani for second place in club history. Cyle Larin leads with 44.
Lassiter scored for the second straight week, taking advantage of Sunusi Ibrahim's first assist of the season.
Second-half substitutes Martin Ojeda and Duncan McGuire provided assists for Angulo's equalizing goal.
Orlando City's Pedro Gallese, who was aiming for his 50th MLS win, made three saves.
Silois couldn't save the shot for Montreal.
Montreal opened the season with six consecutive away games and defeated Cincinnati in its home opener last week.
Montreal leads the series with a total of 9 wins, 8 losses, and 5 draws, including a 5-3-2 mark at home. Both clubs opened the season with a scoreless draw in Orlando.
