The 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials began on April 19th at the Bryce Jordan Center, home of Penn State Wrestling, in State College, Pennsylvania. The second day of the U.S. Olympic Trials will feature tough quarterfinal and semifinal competition, with all competitors aiming for a spot on the U.S. team at the Olympics.
Spencer Lee has always been a favorite among some wrestling fans, but he will be competing this weekend as the No. 4 seed, joining notable competitors such as Zane Richards, Thomas Gilman, Nick Suriano, and Dayton Fix in the 57kg division. They competed in different classes.
Only 16 countries qualify in each weight class, and those who win the trials in the 57kg weight class will travel to Istanbul and Turkiye to place in the top three at the World Olympic Qualification (May 9-12). Otherwise, they will not be eligible to participate in the world championships. Olympic.
