Game time for the 10th Annual Harry's Game is 6 p.m., gates open at 5 p.m. Admission to the game is $5 for adults and free for children 15 and under. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the gate.
A free pre-game soccer clinic for kids will be held on the UNCW practice soccer fields adjacent to the field from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. Fans will exit the clinic and present their tickets at the main entrance of the football stadium.
Proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to local charities supporting children with special needs. Other activities include concessions, Sammy C. Hawk, bounce house, face painting, music and more. Free pizza for kids will also be available during the event.
A live and online auction will be held during the game for special Under Armor Harry's game jerseys worn by UNCW players. Fans can bid or purchase jerseys. They will be available for pick-up after Saturday's game.
Harry's Game Named After UNCW Head Coach aidan heaney's My son Harry was born with Down syndrome. Like many families, the Heaneys weren't sure what it would be like to have a child with Harry's challenges, but when it comes to children with special needs, being different doesn't mean being bad. I learned that.
This spring classic was born out of a desire to dispel the stigma of children's limitations in having fun and interacting with others, even if they just need a special kind of help. This event exists to show that the individuality and joy of any child exists beyond the obstacles they may face when dealing with obstacles.
The Flames will be the first team from outside of North Carolina to attend Harry's game.
UNCW is 4-0-5 overall in Harry's games. The event concludes a six-game spring schedule as the Seahawks prepare for the 2024 season this fall.
