With the 2024 National Aquatics Championships starting tomorrow, April 19th in Shenzhen, China will also participate in the Olympic Trials.
In accordance with the Paris 2024 Olympic schedule, qualifying will begin at 11am local time and the final will take place at 8:30pm local time.
We'll be highlighting entries featuring leading athletes set to the tune of the 100m free world record holder Pan Zanre.
Pan, only 19 years old, overtook the Romanian. david popovichWorld record score of 46.86 points at this year's World Championships. In Doha, Pan took first place in the Chinese men's 4x100m free relay with a time of 46.80 points.
He was scheduled to compete in the 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle distances, the latter sitting just outside the teenager's wheelhouse.
Pan set a lifetime best of 3:46.40 at last year's China Spring Championships, proving that he has the potential to break his World Aquatics Olympic qualifying time of 3:46.78.
Tokyo 2020 Olympic Heroine Zhang Yufei Female entries will compete in the 50m/100m/200m free and 100m/200m fly.
Although the 25-year-old did not qualify for this year's World Championships, the impact of her impressive performance in Fukuoka is still being felt. Last year, she won gold in the 100-meter fly, gold in the mixed medley relay and silver in the 50-meter fly.
Zhang won a bronze medal in the 50m free relay and a bronze medal in the women's 400m free relay.
