The weather doesn't look good this week as girls soccer resumes play for the final four-week sprint to the state tournament.
Middletown, the No. 1 team in Division 1, is off to a 5-0 start this season. They outscored their opponents 35-0, which is an average score of 7-0 over five games. They have a tough battle this week as they travel to Claymont on Monday to take on Division 2 champion Archmere. This should be fun as both defending champions will face off against each other.
The Sanford Warriors won two games last week and moved into the top 10 of Division 2 this week. They are 4-1 and have more wins than all of last year. Their only loss so far was a 4-3 loss to Padua, who placed third in the First Division. They have outscored their opponents 22-7 so far this season. They have an important independent conference matchup against Friends this week.

No.2 Apokini Mink (5-1)(LW No.2) The Jags improved to 2-0 last week with a 2-1 win over Newark Charter and a 2-0 win over No. 8 Odessa. They will host the 4th Annual Wilmington Charter on Monday.
No.3 Padua (3-2)(LW No.7) The Pandas had a good week last week, defeating No. 3 Wilmington Charter and No. 6 Smyrna. The Pandas moved up four spots with these wins. This week they head south to take on Catawba Ridge (South Carolina) on Thursday and Charlotte Latin (North Carolina) on Saturday.
No.4 Wilmington Charter (4-2)(LW No.3) The Force went 1-1 last week, defeating MOT Charter and losing to Padua. They have a busy week as they travel to No. 2 Apokini Mink on Monday, travel to FSMA on Wednesday and host St. Andrews on Thursday.
No.5 Sussex Institute of Technology (4-1-1)(LW No.5) The Ravens defeated Delmarva Christian and lost to Delmar. They host No. 10 Smutrna on Tuesday and Woodbridge on Thursday.
No.6 Polytec (3-1-2)(LW No.4) The Panthers tied 3-3 with Smyrna and lost to Sussex Academy, 24th in the division. They head to No. 7 Caesar Rodney on Tuesday.
No.7 Caesar Rodney (5-1) (LW 10th place) The Riders went 2-0 last week with wins over Milford and Indian River. They host No. 6 Polytech on Tuesday.
No.8 Odessa (3-2-1)(LW 8th place) The Ducks defeated No. 9 Delcastle last week and lost to No. 2 Apokmin Mink. They host St. George's Tech on Wednesday night and Milford on Friday.
No.9 Delcastle (3-2)(LW No.9) The Cougars went 1-1 last week, losing 3-2 to No. 8 Odessa and defeating St. George's Tech 2-1. They travel to Concord on Monday, Christiana on Wednesday and host Hodgson on Friday.
No.10 Smyrna (1-3-1)(LW No.6) The Eagles drew 3-3 with then-4th place Polytech, but lost 3-2 to then-7th place Padua. They travel to Sussex Institute of Technology No. 5 on Tuesday.

4th place Sussex Academy (5-0)(LW No.6) The Seahawks defeated Woodbridge last week and then defeated Polytech, ranked 14th in the division. They host Lake Forest on Tuesday.
No.5 Indian River (2-1-1)(LW No.6) The Indians beat Seaford 1-1 last week, but lost to Caesar Rodney. They travel to Woodbridge on Tuesday and Delmarva Christian on Thursday.
No.6 Conrad (4-2)(LW No.7) The Red Wolves defeated ECHS 1-1 last week before losing to No. 3 Archmere. They go to DMA on Wednesday and No. 8 Concord on Friday.
No. 7 Sanford (4-1)(LW Unranked) The Warriors moved into the top 10 this week after defeating two ranked teams, St. Andrews and Wilmington Christian, last week.They travel to Friends on Tuesday and host Tatonal on Thursday
No. 8 Concord (4-1) (no LW rank) The Raiders beat Howard this week to move into the top 10. They will play Delcastle, No. 9 in Division 1, on Monday. They travel to AI Dupont on Wednesday and take on No. 6 Conrad on Friday.
No.9 St. Andrews (3-2)(LW No.9) The Saints fell to 2-1 last week after losing to Sanford earlier in the week, but bounced back to beat Tatnall and Wilmington Christian. They host Tower Hill on Tuesday and travel to Wilmington Charter on Thursday.
No.10 Newark Charter (2-3)(LW No.8) The Patriots lost to Apokini Mink, 12th in the division, 2-1 last week, and also won DMA, 2-1. They host an MOT charter on Wednesday.
