ST. George — Dixie and Snow Canyon boys soccer teams are both 7-1 in regional play, while Crimson Cliffs is 6-2 and one game back heading into the 4A state playoffs.
The Flyers and Warriors won big, and the Mustangs avenged an early-season loss to backyard rival Desert Hills to keep pace with the top teams.
Three Region 9 teams are in the top 10 in 4A: Dixie (No. 5), Snow Canyon (No. 7) and Crimson, according to the latest RPI (Rating Percentage Index) numbers used to determine playoff seeding. (8th place).
Undefeated Layton Christian Academy is the No. 1 team, according to RPI.

Snow Canyon 3, Cedar 2 (2 OT) | Snow Canyon 5, Pine View 1
On April 12 in Cedar City, the Reds and Warriors battled for 100 minutes, with sophomore Fernando Garcia kicking the winning goal with six seconds left in the second overtime.
The Reds took a 1-0 lead at the half thanks to an early goal from Mason Palmer.
Snow Canyon scored twice in the second half, with Reggie McKay and team captain Kayden Morris each scoring a goal.
Meanwhile, Cedar tied the score at 2-2 with another goal from Palmer, sending the game into overtime.
Both teams continued to battle through a scoreless 10-minute overtime and most of the ensuing overtime, with Garcia breaking down the left flank and kicking the ball into the goal just out of reach of goalkeeper Sam Murray. decided.
“Anytime you go to Cedar, it's tough,” Snow Canyon head coach Kendall Nani said. “Coach (Scott) Kamachi and his staff always give us a good fight and it was a fight. I'm glad we were able to move in a positive direction.

The Warriors played at Pine View on Tuesday and defeated the Panthers 5-1. Garcia and McKee both hit solo markers, and Cayden Morris, Joshua Jensen and Brandon Perez-Toscano also scored.
Andy Prudencio scored the goal for Pineview.
Snow Canyon will receive a bye and the Reds will play their next game at Pine View on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

On April 12 against Pineview, Taylor Cogan scored the go-ahead goal for Dixie off an assist from Iker Meza, then Cogan scored off an assist from Joe Passley to put the Flyers up 2-1 at halftime. .
Dixie secured the victory with two goals from Melvin Contreras in the second half. Meza assisted on the first goal and Contreras scored the second goal unassisted.
The Flyers dominated the Tigers on Tuesday at Walt Brooks Field, scoring five goals in the first half and three more in the second half.
Cogan started things off with Dixie's first score off an assist from Tucker McNally. Paisley set up Gunnar Woods' second goal.
Daniel Briones scored unassisted for the Flyers, and Dominic Alarcón scored on a penalty kick for the Hurricanes.
Christopher Terraza scored (with an assist from McNally) and Woods found the back of the net, giving Dixie a 5-1 lead at halftime.
Cogan scored twice in the second half for a hat trick, and David Diaz scored the winning goal for Dixie. Meza used two helpers in the second half, and Briones also assisted on the goal.
The Flyers will play their next game at Crimson Cliffs on Friday at 7:30 p.m., and the Hurricanes will host Desert Hills on the same day and time.

In the Hurricanes on April 12th, the Mustangs scored four goals in each half and ripped off the Tigers.
Ryan Smith and Easton Lott scored twice for the championship, and four other Mustangs (Bittner Mitchell, Hinkley Heaton, Luke Erekson and Cayden Cox) had single scores to complete the big win. He achieved victory.

In Tuesday's game against Desert Hills, the Mustangs held the lead for most of the game, getting a little revenge for their shootout loss to the Thunder on March 22nd.
Hinkley Heaton led the Mustangs to the victory with one goal and one assist. Ryan Smith and Luke Erekson recorded his two other markers for the Crimson.
Boone Heaton scored two points for the Thunder in a close game. Noah Nield and Zach Davis had assists in the loss.
