The Golden Knights enter this year as the defending Stanley Cup champions. Vegas clinched the franchise's first championship last June, spoiling Florida's Cinderella-like run in the Stanley Cup Final.

What channels will the 2024 NHL Playoffs be broadcast on?
- TV channels (US): ESPN, ABC, TNT, TBS
- TV channels (Canada): Sportsnet, CBC
The NHL playoffs will be split between the ESPN family of networks and Turner's in the United States. The two media companies are in the third year of a seven-year contract with the league.
The first round will be a Saturday night game that will be broadcast on ABC. Other first-round contests may be broadcast on other ESPN and TNT channels, including ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNews, TBS and TruTV.
ESPN and TNT will split the second round series and conference finals. The Stanley Cup Final aired on TNT last year and will return to ESPN in 2024.
In Canada, all playoff games will be broadcast on Sportsnet and CBC.
