The North Carolina Tar Heels football program is preparing for its annual spring game this Saturday before the long wait until the 2024 season. UNC is gearing up for the Week 1 kickoff at Minnesota with some changes to the roster.
The spring transfer portal window has officially opened and UNC has confirmed several players entering the portal. The latest addition is backup quarterback Tad Hudson.
Hudson is the latest player to enter his name into the portal, joining a pair of defensive backs on Tuesday, according to Inside Carolina. Hudson has been practicing with the team this spring as the backup quarterback behind Max Johnson and Connor Harrell, who are vying for the starting spot.

Hudson committed to UNC as a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He pledged that commitment to North Carolina's William Amos Huff in 2021.
He enrolled early to join the program, but did not appear in any games during his career with the Tar Heels.
