Florida State University will host its annual Garnet and Gold Spring Showcase on Saturday afternoon, giving fans their first look at the 2024 Seminoles. That being said, teams will find themselves lacking quarterback talent during exhibitions.
After Tuesday's practice, head coach Mike Norvell announced that redshirt freshman Brock Glenn and true freshman Luke Kromenhoek will be out for the remainder of the spring. Glenn and Kromenhoek are overcoming “minor” injuries, but should not be limited from playing this summer.

“Just a little update, Brock and Luke will actually be both out for the remainder of this week and obviously to wrap up the spring,” Norvell said. “They're suffering from a minor minor injury that won't affect them in any way, even in the summer. We thought we'd have Brock back by this week, but it looks like it'll probably be next week. Unfortunately, it's on schedule.'' Therefore, those two people will not be able to participate. ”
Glenn is graduate transfer DJ Uiagalelei's biggest competition for the right to replace Jordan Travis. After spending most of his first year in Tallahassee supporting Travis and former quarterback Tate Rodemaker, he took a step in the right direction this spring. Glenn ended up starting against Louisville in the ACC Championship and against Georgia in the Orange Bowl. He completed 19-of-51 passes for 229 yards, zero touchdowns, two interceptions, and added one score on the ground.
Kromenhook was one of Florida State's biggest recruiting wins under Mike Norvell, holding off Georgia and other top programs in the late stages. His potential was evident throughout spring practice and he will be a good player for the Seminoles in the future. Kromenhook was considered one of the top quarterbacks in the 2024 class.
This means Uiagalelei will be the only scholarship quarterback available for Florida State during the showcase. Fans need to take a closer look at the strong arm that has been hitting a lot of deep balls in recent weeks.
Other than Uiagalelei, the quarterbacks will be true freshman Trevor Jackson, redshirt freshman Michael Grant and redshirt sophomore Dylan McNamara. Grant and McNamara have each been with the program for at least one year, and Jackson is a late addition to the 2024 class as a preferred walk-on.
Jackson spent his senior season at Jones High School in Orlando, where he passed for 916 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also rushed 104 times for 855 yards and 10 scores. Jackson participated in the prestigious Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles, where he won the Rail Shot Challenge.
Florida State previously announced that offensive tackle Robert Scott, wide receiver Destin Hill, tight end Gerard Powers, defensive tackle Joshua Farmer and defensive back Jamari Howard will miss the spring due to injury. was.
