Chloe Wishart ♦ Trenton
Junior ♦ Soccer
Trenton is off to a 3-0 start this spring, with Wishart playing a leading role. She scored four goals in a 6-0 win in the season opener against Gibraltar Carlson and two more in a 3-0 win over Riverview, a rematch of the Division 2 district final from a year ago. decided. She added two more goals in Monday's 4-0 win over Allen Park. Wishart also had three assists in the team's first three games.
After earning Division II All-State Honorable Mention as a freshman, Wishart missed most of last spring with a knee injury and played only a few games in the final stretch as the Trojans finished 15-3-2 and reached the regional finals. Didn't play. She plays to her full potential and her slightly changed position to more of a scoring spot is providing her with a big boost, as she used to play near the back of the midfield. Trenton improved to 4-0 with a 3-0 win over Brownstown-Woodhaven on Wednesday and is ranked No. 4 in Division 2 in the first Coaches Association state rankings of the season released this week.
