Former Florida State University running back Rodney Hill has entered the transfer portal once again. This is his third visit to the portal since announcing his departure from FSU in mid-December.
Hill enrolled at FSU in January 2022 and appeared in significant games in his first two seasons with the Seminoles. Almost two years later, he initially opted to transfer to FAMU, but entered the portal again when head coach Willie Simmons decided to join Manny Diaz as running backs coach at Duke University.
Hill then opted to transfer to Miami, but was not officially registered and instead remained with the Rattlers, coached by James Colzie. The player entered the transfer market as a member of FAMU and has three years of eligibility remaining.
With the Noles, Hill appeared in a total of 16 games. In 2023, the former FSU running back played in 12 of Florida State's 13 games. He gained 190 yards on 50 rushing attempts (3.8 yards per carry) and scored one touchdown. He also had five catches for 83 yards (16.6 yards per reception).

Hill's departure comes at a time when the Garnet and Gold were securing multiple running back transfers in the portal.
Among them is Alabama product Roydell Williams, who appeared in 45 games with the Crimson Tide and rushed 234 times for 1,165 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Seminoles also added Jaylin Lucas from Indiana. He contributed 875 total scrimmage yards and six scores. He will also be a threat on special teams.
They will also be joined by four-star recruit Cam Davis, who showed tremendous potential in spring practice, redshirt freshman Samuel Singleton and true freshman Mikahi Dungey. Florida State also has redshirt senior Lawrence Toafili and redshirt senior Kazaiah Holmes in the backfield.
