saint paul, minnesota – The top-seeded Boston University men's hockey team lost 2-0 to Denver in the national championship game Saturday night at Xcel Energy Center.

Shortly after the Eagles almost took the lead, the Pioneers scored their first goal of the night midway through the second period. The Eagles almost got on the scoresheet midway through the third period when Lukas Gustafsson (Atlanta, Georgia) He had a clean shot on goal to beat Davis, but the puck hit the outside of the post and went off along the boards.
Boston College tried to bring in Fowler in the final minutes for a goal to close the gap, but his attempt at the goal was deflected by Davis.
