Guido Vianello Preparing for the fight with Efe Ajagba through sparring Daniel Dubois and Tony Yoka In London.
The Italian heavyweight, who usually fights in Las Vegas, faced Ajagba on the undercard of the bout. Jared Anderson– Riyad Mahy, and realizes a win will likely lead to a high-profile fight with Anderson next.
If Anderson is widely regarded as the world's most promising heavyweight, Dubois was once viewed the same way, said Vianello, 29, who shares Nigeria's Ajagba. I was in London with Daniel Dubois, Tony Yoka, and three other heavyweights from England.
“I worked a lot, and hard work, including my mindset, is the secret to all victories. I'm very happy and I love everything I've done so far. This time I have nothing to worry about.
“This was the best sparring session I've ever had. [with Dubois]. They were close and Dubois was very, very strong. He had good sparring and is well prepared for this match.
“He's a top heavyweight, so he's good. But I don't think he's one of the best because he doesn't change. [adapt] A lot in the ring. Dubois does some things well, but falls short in others. The perfect heavyweight to me is someone who can change styles in the ring, but he's okay and a top heavyweight.
“[Yoka] It was great, but I only had one session with Tony. I wasn't feeling great because I had just started training again, but it was really good. I was very happy.
“Having a good sparring partner makes the match easier. I wanted to spar with a tall, technical guy with a good right hand and jab. Dubois and Toney are very similar to this style. It was important to choose the right sparring partner because
“I like Don. [Charles, the trainer of Dubois and Yoka] a lot. he is a very good person. He opened up his gym to me and at the end of camp he talked to me about my style and what I do in the ring. He's a really nice guy and I appreciate that and would love to go back to his gym again. ”
Anderson, 24, is expected to defeat Mahy, 31, in the main event, raising the possibility that he will fight the winner of Vianello vs. Ajagba next. Anderson is charged with third-degree fleeing from a police officer in Huron Township, Michigan, and is scheduled to appear in court in two days.
“I think after two fights I can be in the conversation for a world title fight,” Vianello continued. “After Affe, I want to fight Jared Anderson and then fight for the world title.
“I'm not very impressed. [by Anderson]. He is a good heavyweight because he has speed and good movement skills.
“He has to stay focused because the boxing life is tough.
“The court. The problem. Women, and many other things can be distracting. There are many beautiful things and many bad things, but the court is bad.
“After losing to Jonathan Rice, I learned how to focus.” [in January 2023] I reflected and decided that I had to train my mind to become stronger than ever. I am doing this because life is very difficult.
“You have to understand what direction you want to go in this industry and that's the most important thing. It doesn't matter how good you are in the ring. Focus is number one.
“I feel sorry for you. [Anderson] Because he's a very good person. I hope he can fix everything in a way that is best for him. ”
