Vance played in 12 games over two seasons at Louisville. He then transferred to FSU in December 2021.
During his final two seasons in Tallahassee, the Florida State DB appeared in 27 games.
Vance made an immediate impact in 2022 with three interceptions, five passes defensed, and 16 total tackles. He continued that trend in 2023, recording another interception, four passes defensed, and 18 total tackles.

The New Orleans, Louisiana, native had the daunting task of competing with Earl Little Jr., a transfer from Alabama, for the starting nickel position.
Originally from Ft. Lauderdale Little Jr. was persuaded to leave Florida State by former Alabama head coach Nick Saban. There he played in 11 games and recorded 2 tackles. He joined the Crimson Tide out of high school and was the No. 5 cornerback in the nation (On3) and the No. 8 prospect in the state of Florida. He was ranked as a four-star recruit in both high school and transfer prospects by 247Sports.
While this move appears to show head coach Mike Norvell and the defensive staff's confidence in the Little junior at nickel, there is no doubt that they are losing veteran depth with 39 games of experience at the Division I level. .
