Following the huge success of the IBA Champions Night events held around the world, the IBA Board of Directors has unanimously agreed to establish the first IBA Professional Boxing Committee and is recruiting members for this newly established group.
This committee will consist of at least one current or former boxer and coach who has participated in both amateur and professional boxing, and at least one technical representative or official with amateur and professional experience.
IBA is also looking for at least one current or former promoter or matchmaker with a promoter license.
In total, the IBA Professional Boxing Committee will have at least seven members.
The role of the Professional Boxing Committee is to support the current IBA Champions Night program, provide expertise in the field of professional boxing, particularly in matchmaking, and oversee and supervise technical and competitive rules with a focus on athlete health and management. It's about designing.
Members of the Professional Boxing Committee will also oversee new projects such as the IBA's continental promoter liaison.
