WASHINGTON — President Biden will host a state dinner at the White House on Wednesday night hosting Bill and Hillary Clinton and tech giants to commemorate a visit by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
The Clintons, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Apple CEO Tim Cook will dine with Biden in the East Room of the White House, enjoying a menu that includes homemade cured salmon, dry-aged ribeye steak and salted caramel pistachio cake. .
Paul Simon, 82, plans to provide evening entertainment at the nearby State Dining Room.
The “Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard” singer is said to be a favorite of first lady Jill Biden.
Other guests at the lavish gala included actor Robert De Niro, figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and United Auto Workers Union President Jerome Powell. Chairman Sean Fein and others are expected to attend.
