G-Day is Saturday and Georgia fans are excited to see their team in action. The Bulldogs will have a lot of talent when they take the field.
Georgia football will hold its annual G-Day spring game this Saturday (April 13) at 1:00 p.m. in the hedgerows of Sanford Stadium. It will be the first opportunity for fans to watch the Bulldogs play since December's Orange Bowl win over Florida State.
G-Day predictions
It's a big day for Roderick Robinson. Scrimmages can be fun, especially in front of thousands of fans, but you don't get the same excitement when you play against your teammates. One teammate in particular is going to give Georgia players a headache on Saturday: Roderick Robinson. The 240-pound sophomore is a heavy burden and will command a lot of carries. Don't be surprised if he breaks multiple tackles from teammates who are making business decisions when you face him in the hole.
The attacking team has the upper hand. Earlier this spring, former Georgia center Ben Jones declared that Georgia's offensive line might be the best in program history. They return a lot of starters and a lot of other linemen. Meanwhile, Georgia's defensive line lacks a single player who really stands out. Let's hope the offense comes out victorious on Saturday.
Dawg fans show up. 93K Day was a big moment for Kirby Smart. Back in 2016, the first-year head coach was trying to rally the fan base, and Georgia fans answered that call, filling Sanford Stadium on G-Day. There may not be 93,000 fans in the stadium this Saturday, but there will be plenty. This fan base is excited for this season. Georgia missed the College Football Playoff and lost in the SEC Championship Game, but this team could be even better. Georgia fans are expected to show up to support them Saturday.
