Heading into the 2024 season, the Jackson boys soccer team has won 51 of its last 58 games over three years. The Broncs won the 4A state championship in 2022 and 2021, so they always look like a title contender.
One of the main factors in Jackson's success is the play of forward Teddy Opler. Just last weekend in Casper. He scored three goals in the win over Natrona and had 12 goals and seven assists in just five games so far this season. Thanks to such abilities, he was able to play for the men's soccer team of the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs.
Opler played in only five games during his junior year due to injury, but still scored five points. He was an All-State selection in 4A in his second year, finishing with an impressive 27 goals and 15 assists. Opler had 26 goals and nine assists as a freshman, earning him All-American status.
The University of Colorado is one of the best Division III programs in the country, and the Tigers qualified for the D III NCAA Tournament last season. At the national tournament, they finished the year with a record of 15 wins, 5 losses, and 3 draws, with 2 wins and 2 losses.
