Survival and advancement will be the only thing on the minds of the Stockton Kings as they host the Oklahoma City Blue in the 2024 NBA G League Western Conference Finals.
The top-seeded Kings (25-10) are coming off a 112-109 victory over the Santa Cruz Warriors in the conference semifinals in their first postseason game of the season. Head coach Lindsey Harding will look to build on the No. 3 Blue (23-13) in another single-elimination game at Adventist Health Arena.
Against the Warriors, forwards Stanley Johnson and Deonte Barton and point guard Mason Jones were key players getting buckets. Johnson led Stockton's offense with 25 points and eight rebounds, followed by Barton with 23 points. Jones was a timely shot maker, hitting a three-pointer to lead the Kings past Santa Cruz. He also had 20 points and 12 assists.
Oklahoma City was led by guard Adam Flagler in the conference semifinal game against the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The Blue defeated the Skyforce 111-93, dropping a team-high 21 points. The Kings and The Blues hold a 1-1 record this season, and the tie will be broken tonight.
