The Miami Dolphins have signed defensive lineman Tiard Tartt, according to Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz. He spent last season with the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans.
Tartt, a Philadelphia native, spent one season in the JUCO ranks before committing to FIU. He played two seasons and recorded 51 total tackles, 23 solo tackles, 28 assisted tackles, and 5.5 sacks.
A defensive tackle's best collegiate season came in 2019 with 32 total tackles, 15 solo tackles, eight assisted tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 10.5 tackles for loss. Tartt's two strong seasons at FIU will likely lead to the Tennessee Titans acquiring him as an undrafted free agent.
