World number one Novak Djokovic has insisted playing at the Paris Olympics is his priority this year.
Djokovic has had an illustrious career, but has yet to win an Olympic gold medal.
The 36-year-old, who has 24 Grand Slam wins under his belt, said his goal is to succeed in France.
According to a report from BBC Sport“The Paris Olympics are very important. The Olympics have always been a priority for me,” Djokovic said.
“But in the last three or four Olympics, we haven't been able to reach the later stages.” [the final].
“Things are a little different now. We are playing our first Olympics on clay courts. I want to be ready both physically and mentally.”
The Olympic Games are scheduled to be held at Roland Garros in late July.
Djokovic is also scheduled to compete in the French Open, which will be held at the same venue from May 20 to June 9.
Additionally, Djokovic is aiming to retain his Wimbledon title, and the tournament will be held from July 1st to July 14th.
Djokovic won the bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics, but lost twice in the third-place match.
