Yafai (7-0, 5 KOs), the 2020 Olympic gold medalist from Great Britain, staggered Gaut (21-2, 15 KOs) with a straight left in the first round and looked ready to go all night. A hand that breaks the opponent's guard.

“I'm too excited,” the 31-year-old Yafai said in a post-match interview on DAZN. “That may lead to my downfall in the future. I hope not.”
Yafai crushed the 26-year-old Gaut (Argentina) through three rounds. Yafai landed some clean, hard shots, but Gaut had a hard time responding. By just after 4 o'clock, a ringside doctor had already examined Gaut, but the fighter was allowed to continue.
The tide of the battle gradually changed. Gaut began landing strong overhand counters. Yafai responded with a smile during the first two rounds, but his smile disappeared as the rounds progressed.
The accidental head collision resulted in a gash above Yafai's left eye. Gaut tried to seize momentum, occasionally stepping forward to take eye-catching shots. But all the while, the Argentine was in a tough spot.
In the 8th round, Yafai landed an amazing series of clean shots. Gaut wasn't breaking, but he was buckling, and Yafai's high work rate gave his opponent no respite.
Gaut didn't stop throwing back, but at 2:40 of the 8th inning, the umpire called raul cais jr. He rescued Yafai's strong enemy from himself and stopped the battle. Under other circumstances, the match might have ended sooner, but Gaut's violence more than justified it to get to that point.
Gaut landed power punches at a higher rate, but Yafai's greater output led him to land more punches overall, 136 to 89.
