CLEMSON – Clemson starting quarterback Cade Klubnik limped off the field with about 10 minutes left in Saturday's Orange-White spring game at Memorial Stadium.
He walked along the sideline with his right ankle propped up, but did not put his helmet back on and did not return to the game. However, he did not go to the training room for observation or treatment after the game.
“We just made a few adjustments,” Klubnik said. “There's nothing wrong with it. I just planted it a little differently. It's okay.”
Krbnik completed 13 of 26 passes for 158 yards and one interception.
Klubnik, a junior from Austin, Texas, has passed for 3,541 yards, 21 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 23 career games, including 14 starts. Klubnik also rushed for 321 yards and six touchdowns.
He finished last season leading Clemson to five straight wins, including a 38-35 victory over Kentucky in the Gator Bowl.

Klubnik has high expectations going into his third season.
“Our goal is to be undefeated, and I truly believe this team can accomplish that,” Klubnik said. “I think we have all the pieces we need to make that happen. If I continue to take extra steps this spring and summer and we continue to keep our heads straight and shut out the noise and work. , I don't see why it doesn't happen. I believe.”
