1. Do you have any pre-game rituals or superstitions?
I like to have a little candy before a game, usually not chocolate, like SweeTarts or Nerds Clusters.
2. Why Wake Forest?
My sister (Laila, a sophomore) attends Elon University, which is about 30 minutes away. When I checked out the school, I loved the campus, I loved the people there, I loved the coaches. Even if there was no soccer, I was going to go there (decide early).
3. What is your favorite thing to do off the field?
Off the field I love spending time with my friends. Actually, I also love baking bread. It's my favorite and helps me relax. I'm not the best at it, but it's fun to experiment.
4. If you could play any other sport, what would it be?
I love watching tennis. I always wish I was good at it. I played on the sophomore team at New Trier College, but it was a short career for me. But I love tennis.
5. What do you enjoy most about soccer?
For me, it's the team environment and the camaraderie. My teammates are like family. I love that part of being on a team. At the club, everyone comes together to achieve the same goal.
6. What is your sports highlight so far?
He definitely scored some interesting goals this year. However, there was one in the section game (sophomore year). We ended up losing, but the game against Evanston ended in a tie. It hit the bar on the left side of the goal and was sucked into the goal.
7. What is your dream job?
That's a little difficult. I would like to become a cook or a chef at a top restaurant in New York or elsewhere.
8. If you had a few dollars at Walgreens, what would you buy?
I'll definitely buy some sweets. Probably something like Kinderjoy eggs. those are the best.
9. What do people not know about you?
This is difficult. Many people think my last name is pronounced “No Bull,” but it's actually “No Blay.” They will be surprised to know that. People don't believe me when I say that.
10. What are you looking forward to this season?
What's really clear is that off the field we're all kind of friends, which doesn't happen very often. We love being around each other and that makes us successful. We are all focused on doing well this season. We just have high expectations.
