The 98 Chippewa football players donned helmets and shoulder pads and worked through various position drills, 7-on-7 offense-versus-defense drills and special teams blocking drills. CMU then played an 11-on-11 offense-on-defense scrimmage and finished the day with a two-minute drill. It was a high speed practice with over 30 stations.
CMU's second contest is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, with Friday's scrimmage being the first of two spring scrimmages. Details will be announced at a later date during the April 13th scrimmage.

CMU will begin fall camp in late summer and open the 2024 football season with a home game against Central Connecticut State on Thursday, Aug. 29. The Chippewas are scheduled to play six home games, including four through mid-October.
