In the German Bundesliga, Latiopharm Ulms Pacome Dadiet is starting to attract attention as a candidate for selection in the early to mid-round of the second round, with room to move up the rankings.
A wing prospect and one of the youngest players in the 2024 NBA Draft class, Dadiette is athletic and offensively minded, sometimes taking shots off the bounce, but most of all catching. From is more deadly.
His numbers don't jump off the page, but his size and style of play do. At 6-foot-7 and 210 pounds, Dadiette is a good size for a small forward and is very fluid, flying all over the court with cuts and finishing plays at the rim.
So far this year, he is averaging 6.4 points in 14.9 minutes per game. He is shooting 45.2% from the field overall with 5.2 FGA per game, including 31.1% on 3-point attempts.
Statistically, we can't read much information due to the limited sample size, but it's important to note that Dadiette made 72% from the free throw line this season, which is It lends itself to the belief that true deep shots are possible. Develop.
The mechanics are not bad, although the number of shots is clearly unsatisfactory. It's also important to remember that Pacome Dadiette is currently 18 years old and will be competing on NBA Draft night in 2024. Like I said, he's one of the youngest players in the entire class.
Not only is he still a teenager, but he's also playing against grown men as well as up-and-comers in the G League, NBL, EuroLeague, and more. This has to be taken into account when comparing and contrasting the numbers of a player like Dadiette and his other NCAA players.
It's absolutely possible Dadiette will be drafted this year, but it wouldn't be surprising if he instead waits and tests himself in the 2025 draft.
