Oak Ridge will host the Oak Ridge Soccer Club's annual Atomic City Shootout, featuring soccer teams from across the Southeast from Friday through Sunday, April 5-7.
This year, 88 teams will compete on 12 different soccer fields in Oak Ridge, according to a news release. The tournament will feature clubs from areas such as Gallatin, Johnson City, Nashville and Chattanooga.
Atomic City Shootout accommodates D2 and D3 teams and provides a competitive platform for players to show off their skills and camaraderie. One of the distinguishing features of this year's Atomic City Shootout is the inclusion of an “11-on-11 option for U12 boys,” giving young athletes an opportunity to play competitively in a dynamic and engaging format. It offers an opportunity to experience excitement, the release states.
