CM Punk's entry into AEW caused quite a bit of excitement and signaled the beginning of a promising new chapter in his career. However, it wasn't long before everything crashed and burned, and this prompted CM Punk to talk a lot about his stay on The MMA Hour. In light of the interview, Eddie Kingston addressed what Punk had to say.
In a groundbreaking interview with Ariel Helwani, CM Punk delved into his return to WWE, his exit from AEW, and a variety of other topics. In this interview, he delved into many recent controversies and provided valuable insight into his professional journey.
During a conversation with Adrian Hernandez, Eddie Kingston was asked about CM Punk's recent comments about AEW, specifically Punk stating that talent only works one day a week and that AEW is not a business.
Eddie Kingston's response to CM Punk's comments was blunt. He emphasized that punks don't work for the organization, so there's no need to worry about what punks say. Mr. Kingston clarified that he was not angry, it was just the way he spoke. He reiterated that he doesn't really care about the situation, even though others are potentially bothered by it. Kingston explained that his disinterest stems from the fact that Punk is not affiliated with AEW.
Kingston suggested that if Punk were part of AEW and made a similar comment, he might feel some kind of way temporarily, but ultimately would accept it as part of Punk's character. Kingston concluded by stating that he does not care about Punk's actions because he cannot control them and they are two different individuals.
“He doesn't work for us, I don't do anything terrible here.” To be honest, he doesn't work for us so I don't care, that's all is. I'm not angry. It might sound like I'm angry just by the way I speak, but no, I don't care, I don't care. I know other people do, but I don't really give a f*** because he doesn't work for AEW, that's how I see it, if he worked for AEW If I had done that, I might feel kind of for a moment that it's Phil and it's Phil. I don't care what he does because I can't control him and he's not me and I'm not him. ”
