Former women's boxing champion Savannah Marshall will make her PFL debut on June 8th.
The Silent Assassin is currently one of the biggest names in women's boxing. Former Olympian Savannah Marshall has achieved great success in her professional ranks. She won her first world title in October 2020 and continued to win. Ultimately, she set the stage for a rematch of sorts with Claressa Shields.
Savannah Marshall previously defeated “GWOAT” as an amateur and remains the only person to defeat SEAL in her career. However, she lost a unanimous decision to Marshall in a professional rematch in 2022. To her credit, Marshall later bounced back with a majority decision victory over Franchon Cruz-Dezrun.
A few months after that win, Savannah Marshall shockingly signed a contract with PFL. The British boxer had never expressed any interest in fighting in a cage before signing, but jumped at the opportunity. The possibility of a sort of trilogy with SEALs in the Cage was one of the main reasons they signed her.
Today, PFL announced plans to make Savannah Marshall's debut at a PFL Europe event on June 8th. The opponent is unknown at this time, but it is unlikely to be the SEALs. In addition to Marshall's debut fight, the card also includes season-opening bouts for the men's bantamweight and women's flyweight divisions.

Former boxing champion Savannah Marshall to make MMA debut at PFL Europe in June
“PFL believed in me enough to bring me back home,” Savannah Marshall said in a promotional video posted to social media announcing her MMA debut. “One of the things I want to maintain is my power. It's new and fresh and exciting for me. As long as I'm ready for everything, that's the key.”
She continued, “It's going to be an absolutely crazy night, it's going to be wild. Tickets are on sale now so don't miss out.”
The Savannah Marshall deal is just one of many in the PFL in recent months. In addition to Silent Assassin, Don Davis' company has signed other boxing stars, including the aforementioned Claressa Shields and Amanda Serrano. They also signed his longtime friend and promoter Jake Paul last year.
While many of the PFL's top players, including Francis Ngannou, haven't played in a game, Savannah Marshall has stepped up right away. Less than a year after her contract, she will officially enter the cage this summer.
